Suhba Club

Terms

The agreement between Suhba Club and the families who join our programmes.

Last updated 9 October 2026

These terms set out the agreement between Suhba Club and the parents and guardians of the children who take part in our programmes. By applying for a place and paying the registration fee you agree to them. We have kept them short and in plain English.

Questions are always welcome at info@suhbaclub.com.

About Suhba Club

Suhba Club is a home education community for Muslim families, running weekly programmes, sports, trips and gatherings for children and parents in East London. We are a small team of teachers, coaches and volunteers. We are not a school and we do not provide full time education or childcare.

Applying for a place

You apply on our website, one application per child. We review every application and will tell you by email whether we can offer a place, add your child to the waiting list or, where a programme is not right for your child, let you know that we cannot offer a place this time. Places are limited so that every child gets proper attention. A place is never guaranteed by applying.

The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date, especially contact details, medical needs and the emergency contact. Tell us straight away if anything changes.

The registration fee

When we offer a place, it is confirmed by paying a one off registration fee of £10 by the date in the offer email. The fee is paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on a secure Stripe page. It covers the administration of enrolling your child and is not refundable once paid, including if your child later leaves or does not attend.

If the fee is not paid by the date given, we may offer the place to the next family on the waiting list. If you still want the place after that, let us know and we will help if we can.

Programme fees

Each programme has its own fee, shown on our website and in the offer email. Fees are paid in advance for the month or the term as stated for that programme, by the method we give you. We give notice before any fee changes, which take effect from the next payment period.

If a family falls behind with fees we will always talk to you first. We may pause a child's place if fees remain unpaid after we have reached out. If money is tight, speak to us; we would rather know.

Attendance, cancellations and leaving

Please tell us when your child cannot attend a session. Fees are for the place on the programme rather than for individual sessions, so missed sessions are not refunded or carried over.

If we have to cancel a session, for example because of a venue problem or a teacher's absence, we will let you know as early as we can and either reschedule it or take it into account in the next fee period.

If your child leaves a programme, let us know in writing. Fees already paid for the current month or term are not refunded. Nothing further is owed after that period ends. Places are precious, so telling us early lets another family take it up.

Conduct and the induction manual

Every programme has its own expectations for behaviour, dress, punctuality and respect, which are set out in the induction manual or student guide you receive when your child joins. Those expectations form part of these terms. We ask parents to read them with their child.

We will always try to work with a family where there are difficulties. In rare cases where a child's behaviour puts others at risk or repeatedly disrupts the group, we may end a placement. If that happens we will explain why. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded.

Health, safety and consent

You must tell us about any medical condition, allergy, learning need or other matter that could affect your child's safety or participation. Please keep that information current. For programmes with physical activity you give consent, as part of the application, for first aid and emergency medical treatment should your child need it and we cannot reach you.

Sport carries a risk of injury even when run carefully. Our coaches are experienced and sessions are supervised, but by enrolling your child in a sports programme you accept that ordinary risk.

Drop off and collection times are set for each programme. Children must be collected on time by a parent or a person you have named to us.

Photographs

We take photographs and short videos at sessions and events and may share them on our website, our Instagram account and our parent groups, without naming any child. If you do not want your child included, tell us at any time and we will respect that.

Parent groups and communication

Most day to day communication happens by email and in our parent WhatsApp groups. The groups are for programme matters: please keep them courteous, do not share the details of other members outside the group and do not use them to promote businesses or causes. We may remove a member who ignores this.

Our responsibility to you

We take reasonable care in everything we do. We are responsible for loss or injury caused by our negligence. Nothing in these terms limits that. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to sessions, or for matters outside our reasonable control.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. We will tell parents in our groups about any change that matters. Continuing with a programme after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
